These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Surfaced (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Surfaced.
Surfaced helps job seekers evaluate which roles are worth applying to and tailor their resumes and cover letters. We score the job descriptions you submit against your CV and generate suggested content. Surfaced provides guidance and tooling only; we do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.
You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use Surfaced. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Surfaced offers a free tier with monthly usage limits and a paid Pro subscription billed through our payment provider. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Pro subscriptions are subject to fair use limits. These currently include up to 300 job scores, and a combined total of 60 resume tailoring sessions and cover letters, per calendar month. Users who consistently exceed these limits may be subject to daily sub-limits until the month resets. We reserve the right to adjust these limits with reasonable notice.
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to circumvent usage limits or abuse-prevention measures, submitting content you do not have the right to use, uploading malicious code, reverse engineering the service, or using it to violate any applicable law. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you submit and for reviewing any generated output before using it.
Surfaced and its software, design, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or other proprietary materials except as needed to use the service.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Fit scores and generated content are suggestions and may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Surfaced and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or profits arising from your use of the service.
You may stop using Surfaced and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
